Much like Fear and Loathing-era Hunter Thompson, LoDeck has apparently been spending much of his time hanging around the desert, eating psychedelics, and writing strange stream-of-conscious narratives. So, it should come as no surprise that the first digital leak off his new dePROGRAMMer mixtape is called “Gonzo Monster.” Here, the NYC underground cult hero is joined by J23 associates Boxguts, 2UGLi and Labal-S (of Bloody Monk Consortium) for a posse cut oozing the key ingredient of a blood sacrifice. (Look for the next leak to appear on my upcoming Devil’s Night mix, dropping here October 30.)
The only way to hear dePROGRAMMer in full, for now, is to buy the CD for $10 from LoDeck’s Big Cartel page, or get it along with LoDeck’s latest album, Pomegranate, for just $23. That’s less than the cost of your Halloween costume. Plus, you’ll get a “sticker” that may or may not be psychoactive.
