♫♪  Ak’chamel - “Virgen De Mercedes (Live)”

A few years back, I was in a completely unpopular band named Feel It. It was our dream to combine archaic vibes with raw life based on musical intuition — which none of us had — but we listened to a bunch of shit, so it’s like: “How couldn’t we?” Well, all that came out of Feel It were some tape recorded jams and a bitching band name.. Although, I always whished we’d’ve turned out a lot more like Ak’chamel.

Using the live act of “Virgen De Mercedes (Live)” (videoed above), Ak’chamel is like the period cave-people figured out the basics of how to create society… in a physical echo chambers. Like, all band members, climbing some mountainside trail, chanting like the end is a spec above you, smacking stretched leather across hallow wood, sparking rocks against boulders, and trailing a string of bells in case someone falls behind.

Outside the starkness of both visuals and sounds in “Virgen De Mercedes,” Ak’chamel continues this doomed vibe across multiple platforms of music, including a variety of metal and folk genres, psychedelic acid attacks, and [loosely] experimental. So if you’ve never given them a shot. Head on over to the Ak’chamel Bandcamp page for the musical experience, and keep an eye of for another one of their mind-frying shows!
