Madison, WI (or maybe Portland?) synth warrior Joel Shanahan, who goes by Golden Donna, Purpura, and, for this track, Auscultation, knows how to craft some foggy house burners. While this is the first Auscultation release via 100% Silk, Shanahan is no stranger to Silk and Not Not Fun, who put out his II tape and his self-titled LP, respectively. L’étreinte Imaginaire is the new tape, and “Promise You’ll Haunt Me” is the first glimpse into Shanahan’s latest sonic terrain. Don’t let the ambient intro fool you, because “Promise You’ll Haunt Me” bumps. While it may not be a full-on banger, what you get instead is a more thought out, cerebral jaunt that glides along real nice. The new tape drops August 14th,
