♫♪  Autumn In June - “Pretty Wicked”

Los Angeles artist Autumn In June has teamed up with The FADER to premiere his first single in over a year. Titled “Pretty Wicked,” it leaves behind the undeniable 80s vibes of “HEROin KIDZ” and utter danceability of “Hey Arnold!” in favor of a mellow synth-pop meditation on being stretched to the limits by a significant other’s insatiable desire to party.

Autumn’s knack for vivid lyricism is crucial to the track’s impact, as he urges his lover to “wipe your nose, there’s cops outside,” before coming clean and confessing, “I’ve been tryna hide it but I’m falling apart, don’t let it show.” He reassures “it’s alright baby” during the song’s refrain, but it’s hard to shake the cocaine-fueled, neon-drenched pain he bares for all to see as it eventually comes to a close.
