♫♪  Hannah Diamond - “Make Believe”

It’s now been 13 internet years and over 200 shitty thinkpieces since Hannah Diamond announced her debut album, a wait that was extended even further in October when she announced that the album (+ accompanying magazine) would be preceded by an EP called Reflections. That EP was originally scheduled to come out before the end of the year, but who knows at this point. I mean, is this just PC Music reconceptualizing how we think of schedules, reframing the illusion of time according to the inverse square radius of pop’s curvature or to the infinitesimal geometry of Riemannian manifolds with dimensions greater than two?

At any rate, Hannah Diamond is still active, having released one of our favorite songs of the year (“Fade Away”) and returning today with a track called “Make Believe,” presumably another cut from Reflections. Like some of Hannah’s best work, the melodies here are downright brilliant. It’s produced by A. G. Cook and EASYFUN. Listen for yourself here:
