DMW #3 comes from Chicago producer/DJ Kevin Carey, whose minimal grime and club sounds are mostly staccato but still manage to create an atmosphere without ever feeling too hazy. Mixing his own productions with UK club, weird little club tracks from forward thinking producers like Air Max 97 and DJ NJ Drone, and some choice rap vocals, Carey takes us on a journey that feels appropriate for the dance floor yet provides a cerebral deepening. This mix is connected to COLD TECHt, a club night occurring in both Chicago and Melbourne, Australia, featuring producers Jeremiah Meece (of The-Drum), Velatix, Heavee (of Teklife), and other like-minded producers (like Carey). Press play and take yourself up into the clouds, hit outer space for a bit, and then land back on an earthly grounded dance floor.
