One thing is for sure: you can’t rob Magill of a good album title. To The Sun And Back In 23 Days is just another example of that mind expanding thought process his words and musical ways move those willing to think beyond measurement of creativity. And as most of Magill’s music reminds me of a variety of different styles, ESPECIALLY Moon Dog, To The Sun And Back In 23 Days is both literally and on record —err, recorder, most akin to those “live” or “jam” [rare] sessions. There’s rough cuts and out take-intros. Distant drums and, wait — are those howls? An insistence that’s undeniable in form and the further.
