Ever since Woodist went to shit and cellphone commercials started using fuzzy pop-rock as a soundtrack to their summer sales, lo-fi gal rock has been really difficult for me to fuck with without thinking about whether or not I’m delusional while privately participating in a sit-down listen session. Though, it’s refreshing when you find a group like Silver Shadows that’s only taking it seriously for a more specific set of ears, rather than trying to achieve marketability and make a living off their work. Everybody has to make money, I get that, but their M.O. seems more to just jam and tune-out with a tinge of happiness in the new EP Silver Shadows. Shit is organized, driven to kick, and ready for any summer ride you can equate to anything that is out of the normal. Feel it entirely below:
