I’m actually not that thrown off by Pedicure Records’ intent on trolling popular sounds of Manicure Records and PC Music. Like their pals PC Noise — although vastly different in sound — PD003 has been rallied up via SODA lite, slippin’ on some questionable zones in a matter of a handful of tracks entitled, R U An Angel. Talking to listeners like it’s a satire of the current genre of faux advertising, Pedicure Records gives off the same vibe as a talk-show would: the entertainment value is just as high as the real-deal, the actors are “themselves” by portraying themselves, and in the end, something is done/said that can be brought up for a good later at work, totally nondescript. There’s a mellow mood to the past two Pedicure Records, and R U An Angel sits right along the ranks of high-defined music equat’shop electronics, while although not a robot in the entendre of double-mean.
