♫♪  HAB / M. TAKARA - DESMON BRASILIS #1

It’s a real honor to cover Desmonta’s newest concoction, DESMON BRASILIS #1, a 10-inch split by HAB and M. TAKARA. Both sides are a spiral of mind tricks mad maddening by the mirage of sound. HAB’s side A leaves listeners with a menagerie of intentional false starts, almost introducing ears to placated art, tripping up the purveyor by providing audio that seems to lead into another world that leaves individuals pondering as it’s source of emotion. There’s lyrics here? Was that an beat-tape instrumental? I cannot grasp, but I want SO much more! M. TAKARA quickly grasps this intention and flips it on some negative-art, contortionist audio renderings that reverse and harmonize alongside the confounding inertia of machinery, as if the musicians isn’t necessarily asleep at the wheel: mentally busted, but music mixing and production talent still controlling the entire situation. Yet, the entirety of DESMON BRASILIS #1 is comprised of samples, so go find a translator, scope the Desmonta Bandcamp page, and get to work!
