♫♪  King Cyst - “Rubbing Soul”

In the same way funny-meet-AM-gold-standard, King Cyst is still on that “Chinese Wind” breeze with polished bells and whistles creating “Rubbing Soul,”a tune almost naturally and nostalgically modern. A wit only the musically betrothed can commit, mingled with the loudest no-smile laugh, and an insatiable narrator surrounded by a gorgeous crew shining in sound. Not to mention a conclusion melting sax, bass, guitar, organ, back up singers, satire found-sound, a neighbor(?), and a bit of early praise. “Rubbing Soul” is oozing with masculinity and King Cyst literally ain’t shy about it. King Cyst is pretty much Anthony Hopkins in the movie adaptation of Remains of the Day. It’s spelled out in the lyrics; I ain’t gotta explain.

If you’re feeling like an upcoming fling of a night, head on over to Elvis Guesthouse on 85 Avenue A in NYC Monday September 14 to listen IN FULL to King Cyst’s Underwater Peoples album, King Of New York, which actually drops September 18.
