♫♪  KOH-IZT - “Direct Message”

The productionist angle to KOZ-IZT is double. Like, it’s actually two people (Joe Valle and Orlando Volcano) going in on one project, which is amazing considering how rare that is in today’s modern world of greed and selfish decision making. So, straight off the newest ESCAPE FROM NATURE compilation release, EFN Sound Library Vol 1 , KOH-IZT presents their debut, “Direct Message.” Vocals cut up to gibberish-within-beat, melody building that gets turned right back into the same beat playing throughout, flutes fading and warping, a raw drumming pattern that switches from primitive to digital manipulation, and a effects slathered roar stiffly providing presence. Yet, the entirety of “Direct Message” seems to direct listeners to dance, as ESCAPE FROM NATURE is currently budding within the New York club-light, maintaining ordinance and credit where due. So keep an eye peeled for ESCAPE FROM NATURE (and especially KOH-IZT), as I imagine there’ll be a plethora more to come. EFN Sound Library Vol 1 — also featuring Michael Jukeson, AceMo, Orlando Volcano, and Celestial Trax — will drop early next month, but in the mean time, enjoy “Direct Message” below by KOH-IZT:
