♫♪  (ORB) - “(I Heard You) Say My Name”

When (ORB)’s Henry Chern and Jeff Graupner first started playing together, they were in high school and part of Milwaukee’s Terrior Bute, at first playing all ages shows in basements and anywhere else that would have them. Now, as grown ass men, minus one member of Bute, Chern and Graupner have been carrying on as the duo (ORB), playing a lot of shows and steadily recording while Graupner finishes grad school in Chicago and Chern works up in Milwaukee. The recently “dropped” Inside Voices is the duo’s debut record, and they went all out with its first video. “(I Heard You) Say My Name” is a very dope track, with an incredibly mellow sax solo to cap things off (courtesy of Graupner himself). The visuals recall Paper Rad in their surreal leanings, but instead of going all Film Studies 101 I’ll just let you sit back and enjoy this slow burning vid. Inside Voices is out now via MKE’s Gloss Records, in both cassette and digital formats. If you only thought of the Bodeans when you thought of Milwaukee music, hopefully (ORB) will make you think there’s more going on in the Cream City than the “Party of Five” theme song.
