Sissy Spacek

Harsh noisecore group/wedding band Sissy Spacek — featuring the likes of John Wiese, Corydon Ronnau, and Jesse Jackson — have a new LP out on Gilgongo. It’s called Dash, and it sounds like *WERJKLW:L%KJ@$#()*#()$!@!!!!!L:JK%% #%$#$!!!

Matana Roberts

“Mississippi Moonchile”

It was 5AM, in the summer, when jazz composer/improviser Matana Roberts decided to be Montreal’s alarm clock. Check the video above to see it happen. Meanwhile, run (literally) to your favorite record store next week to get Matana Roberts’ COIN COIN Chapter One: Gens de couleur libres, which is being released by the folks at Constellation.

“Things Fall Apart (ft. Panda Bear)”

Dubstep producer Zomby has teamed up with possible best friend Panda Bear for a track titled “Things Fall Apart.” The song is off Zomby’s forthcoming 4AD debut, Dedication, which is out July 12. Dudes will be chilling together at the Animal Collective-curated ATP fest, but who will pay attention to Avey?

“It’s All Good”

FaltyDL, known to his mother as Drew Lustman, set the world on fire with his Planet Mu full-length You Stand Uncertain. The video for “It’s All Good” is keeping the flames alive.

Three Legged Race

“China Bull”

Robert Beatty has a new tape coming out on Night People, bringing two monikers together with the title Three Legged Race as Ed Sunspot (tip for an utterly confusing Halloween costume). Watch the video, with creepy Beatty illustrations superimposed over seemingly ordinary household objects.

Ariel Pink

“Fright Night (Nevermore) (Dâm-Funk Remix)”

Check out Dâm-Funk’s remix of Ariel Pink’s “Fright Night (Nevermore),” a track off last year’s Before Today (#2 on our Favorite 50 Albums of 2010). I’d call it a “scorcher” if I didn’t have better judgement. (via P4k)
