As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a monstrous vermin.
Some days earlier he had been in Valmez on business where he had stopped in at a music store. The wiry-haired and bug-eyed clerk, in spite of his disquieting appearance, had been helpful, and had even given Gregor a complementary custom-made mixtape with his purchase. Gregor had listened to it. At the time it sounded to him like music.
As his transformed life began to unfold in tragic fashion, he caught a glimpse of the track list on the mixtape.
Not music, then. Predestination.
