Sun Kil Moon announce new album, Admiral Fell Promises

Feeling sad? Then dry your tears until summer: Mark Kozelek, the man behind Red House Painters and subsequently Sun Kil Moon, recently announced on his website that the latter group will be coming out with a fourth album July 13 from Caldo Verde Records. Admiral Fell Promises will be available on CD, digitally, and vinyl, with some perks (two live bonus tracks) included in the latter.

Like his first and third albums, Admiral Fell Promises is all original material. However, if you’re yearning for more Kozelek covers since hearing his 2005 tribute to Modest Mouse (Tiny Cities), there’s even more good news. If you purchase Admiral Fell Promises straight from the Caldo Verde site, you’ll get I’ll Be There, a four-song EP including covers of classics from The Jackson 5 and Stereolab, and a cover of a track from Casiotone for the Painfully Alone’s latest album, Vs. Children.
