Milan Records has announced via Twitter that the soundtrack for the 1988 cult anime sci-fi film Akira is going to be released on vinyl. This should be exciting news to people who have loved the film and its music over the years. It seems like the vinyl release will be the Symphonic Suite Akira — which is the standalone score, as opposed to the OST — which included dialogue from the film.
Details on an official release date and album artwork are forthcoming.
