Bummertown: Cold Cave Cancel Dates in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina
By Chase Kamp on Feb 9 2010
Citing delays due to the relentless snowstorm rampaging in the east, Cold Cave have announced the cancellation of a handful of tourdates, which blows. Cold Cave is primarily the synth-pop project of Wesley Eisold (ex-Some Girls), but playing with him on tour are ex-Xiu Xiu member Caralee McElroy and Prurient/Hospital Records founder Dominic Fernow. Man, this weather is bullshit, but the Matablog sez all of the dates are planned to be rescheduled, which is alright. I GUESS.
Canceled dates:
02.09.10 - Orlando, FL - Backbooth*
02.10.10 - Tampa, FL - Crowbar*
02.11.10 - Atlanta, GA - Criminal Records
02.11.10 - Atlanta, GA - 529*
02.13.10 - Greenboro, NC - Legitimate Business *
* Nite Jewel

Golden Triangle Full-Length Debut Coming via Hardly Art, Tour Proceeds Support Opium Production
By Harold Shueberg on Feb 9 2010
The kids just can’t seem to swallow enough of that throwback punk-driven garage rock these days. Perhaps it’s the spit-in-your-face attitude, the lack of compositional complexities, or the fact that people just want some straight-up bullet in the head rock music. Whatever it is, it’s a fine thing for psych-twinged Brooklyn spooksters Golden Triangle, because they got themselves a debut full-length jumpin’ out March 2 via Seattle institution Hardly Art. The album is titled Double Jointer, and if you’d like to give your ears a little sneak peek, head over to the Chocolate Grinder. As for me, I’m snatching this thing up strictly for the album artwork.
Anywho, here’s the tracklist:
01. Cinco de Mayo
02. Blood and Arrow
03. Neon Noose

King Khan & The Shrines Announce Comeback Tour After Seemingly Endless Year-Long Absence
By E. Nagurney on Feb 8 2010
A year is a long time. Don’t believe me? Well, a year is 365 days. A year is 8,760 hours. A year is 525,600 minutes. And last, but certainly not least, a year is 31,536,000 seconds. That’s a really big number! A really big number of seconds!
Now, of course, you must agree that a year is a long time. With a number that big, how could it not be? Since we have established that a year is a long time, we must also agree that King Khan’s upcoming comeback tour is accurately titled, since it has been about a year since he last went on tour. Might as well go see him on his one-month spring stretch of dates, since you’ll never know how long it will be until he tours again. It could literally be months.
