Well, here’s one option: record an album of songs by a similar-ish wheelhouse musical act… oh, maybe The Handsome Family or something; call it Things are Really Great Here, Sort Of…, put it out June 3 via your own website, and HIT THE ROAD with your backing band for good times, free Chipotle, and hot girls galore at the likes of SummerStage, Telluride, Bonnaroo, some cool in-stores, and MORE!
I guess a second option would be to not do any of that and lay low all summer reading books about fermentation and devoting your evenings to making vinegar and kimchi and watching every movie you can find that James Earl Jones was ever in… but you’re supposed to be Andrew Bird. Not lonely, nerdy, sad, shit-poor Nobodaddy.
