ATP recruit the Chapman Brothers, Max Richter, Holly Herndon, Blanck Mass, and more for a UK holiday camp revival

Especially if you aren’t in the UK, the volume of ATP-sponsored events around the world might’ve caused you to overlook an announcement made almost two years ago, in which the London-based organization formally declared an end to the holiday camp events that had served as a forerunner to the marked success enjoyed today. A desire to increase ATP’s focus on a “growing schedule of city and international based events” was the paraphrased explanation offered by founder Barry Hogan at the time, so naturally, with a goal like that, who would’ve expected a somewhat hasty return to the British countryside? We’re all music-loving heathens traversing concrete now!

Except, you know, not, since ATP has just announced the renewal of their holiday camp series, set to take place in a brand new location! ATP 2.0 Nightmare Before Christmas will occur November 27-29 at Prestatyn Pontins in North Wales and will feature the following artists: Max Richer performing The Blue Notebooks, The Notwist performing Neon Golden, The Album Leaf performing In a Safe Place, Holly Herndon, Death, Blanck Mass, Iceage, and more. Visual artists Jake and Dinos Chapman will also be renewing their curative role after handling those duties more than a decade ago.

Supposedly Prestatyn is a lovely spot, filled with laughing and playing and children handing you recently bloomed daffodils…
