BBC doc When Björk Met Attenborough out now; learn which kind of ice cream these two stars just can't HANDLE!

You read about it on the internet: David Attenborough and Björk have met. Was it at a cocktail party? A fancy ice cream social? At a house museum in a quaint old Victorian novelist’s home? So many questions. If only those walls could talk! If only the government had bugged the quaint old house museum! If only a chimp who had been taught sign language and lip reading in its youth by a thoughtful and kind scientist had been in that room to relay back to those of us waiting behind a two-way mirror the whimsical yet profound words that passed between these two living legends. SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Well wonder no more, America!!!! (Also other countries.) Because you don’t need an ASL-proficient chimp to tell you what transpired between the artist and the naturalist; you’ve got this new DVD from One Little Indian, When Björk Met Attenborough. The film was inspired by Björk’s 2011 album/live project Biophilia, which originally debuted on BBC Channel 4 in the UK, after which it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and it will soon be in select theaters. Featuring narration by Tilda Swinton (naturally) and directed by Louise Hooper, When Björk Met Attenborough explores the intersection of nature and technology. It’s out now.
