Who’s hungry for some probiotics? Good. Cuz two years after the perverse, fetid wonder of Ultima II Massage, electronic scuzz-wiz and Black Moth Super Rainbow frontman Thomas Fec — a.k.a. Tobacco — is once again rising up from the fermented bowels of his moldering Pennsylvanian soundlab with a crunchy a new album of hypnagogia-radiated earworms. Yum.

The new LP, titled Sweatbox Dynasty, is due August 19 via Ghostly International, and it “finds the rural recluse resurrecting an old approach to hack a new path through the muck,” laying down each track and effect separately onto cassette tape before warping, treating, damaging and transferring each of them one-at-a-time to his sampler to construct the finished product. “I do know how to ruin a good song,” he says of the process. “I just gotta keep pushing to find new places to go.”

And it just so happens that the first of those “new places” is the filthy, pulsing scrapyard pond evoked by the album’s first single, “God In Heat.” It’s practically guaranteed to enrich the diversity of your gut biome in just one listen. But yo, don’t take my word for it. Scope out the delirious wooziness for yourself down below, and pre-order the whole album now from The Ghostly Store. Also, be sure to take a minute to fully ingest/digest the full album trailer and a list of US tour dates down below. It’s all pretty good-eatin’.
