Circuit des Yeux announces summer tour including West Coast dates with Xiu Xiu, shares new video

In light of Haley Fohr’s really excellent 2013 full-length Overdue as Circuit des Yeux, some might say she’s a little… overdue for a tour? Well those people are either dicks or not paying attention, because Fohr has been straight-up touring until her feet fall off this year. And! She’s about to tour some more, because her feet haven’t quite fallen off yet, and she hates her feet, so she’s trying to make that foot-less dream a reality, and this is the only way. Except for the couple of solo dates (noted below) Fohr will be joined by a band featuring John Dawson (of Thee Open Sex and Magnetic South) and Cooper Crain (of CAVE and Bitchin’ Bajas). A good chunk of the upcoming dates will also be spent supporting Xiu Xiu on a West Coast tour (who are making up for the ones they had to postpone earlier in the year).

Because Fohr read somewhere (the internet probably) that just using your feet to tour all the time won’t make them fall off, and that you have to sometimes take a break to trick them into complacency so that the next time you stand up they’ll be even more likely to fall off, Fohr also found some time recently to shoot a video for the song “Acarina” off Overdue. It’s a collaboration with the filmmaker Julia Dratel. Watch it below:
