Cloudland Canyon find promised land, rejoice by taking new album Fin Eaves to the Holy Mountain

Former Panthers front man Kip Ulhorn’s one-time side outlet for his psych-drone meanderings hasn’t peeped its head out in some time. Not since 2008’s spectacular and guest-riddled Lie in Light has Cloudland Canyon graced us with any of the psych-spliced euphoria that they’ve so properly refined and re-defined in the past years. Alas! No longer. Cloudland Canyon have seen the light, or something like that, and have decided to release their forthcoming long player Fin Eaves on the Holy Mountain label (home to such fellow guitar-drenched notables as Birds of Maya, Blues Control, and Wooden Shjips).

Apparently Ulhorn doesn’t have any qualms about letting his fans scope out the material before buying. You can already listen to basically half the album over at the Intercoastal Arists label page with accompanying video for each track. Impressed, you should be. It’ll be coming out July 29 September 7, just in time to mix with those brain-melting summer waves.
