Animal Collective member Deakin hasn’t exactly been a big part of the group for a while now, having made his most recent appearance on 2007’s Strawberry Jam. What’s he been doing all that time? Drinking tea. There’s a lot of tea out there, an endless forest of flavors available to Deakin.
But that’s all over, as Deakin is “back” in the band, according to Pitchfork. Right now, all that really means is that he will be there at Animal Collective’s two scheduled 2011 dates: Minehead, England’s All Tomorrow’s Parties (May 13-15) and Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival (May 25-29). Pretty sure you’ll hear a thing or two from us about any future Animal Collective plans, though.
