Oh, I’m on to you, Conor Oberst. Don’t think I’m not on to you. Reforming your post-hardcore outfit Desaparecidos seems innocent enough. It is not innocent. Unless you think brewing potions is innocent and, if you do think that, you’re incorrect, because it isn’t. While we all know a Bright Eyes or Conor Oberst solo tour is just a worldwide trip for potions ingredients (it’s all over the news), Desaparecidos could just be touring. Well, they’re not. I don’t trust them.
Though, well, they are touring. They’re probably just looking for some water from the Atlantic Ocean, in order to mix with a virgin’s sigh for use in some terrible concoction. However, to keep up appearances, they are playing a string of dates across the East Coast. Joining them on those dates are California punks Joyce Manor, who are just looking to have a fun time playing some shows. Those guys have no interest in potions.
