Dirty Beaches announces a tour and support for antiquated technology with cassette release

From our brohams at the ‘Fork, Alex Zhang Hungtai, better known as Dirty Beaches, is hitting the road and touring North America this fall in support of his excellent new double album Drifters/Love Is the Devil (TMT Review).

In addition to getting a chance to see Dirty Beaches live, the tour will feature an exclusive, limited edition of Drifters/Love Is the Devil. This unreleased version of the album is on cassette (ew, weird) so hopefully you can find your old Walkman in that box of your old stuff in your parents’ attic. It’s probably under the stack of completed Mad Libs, elementary school yearbooks, and your t-ball trophies. I swear I saw it there the other day when I was rifling through some of your stuff. You should really go double check, though.

Aside from two shows this month in New York, the tour kicks off in Montreal and runs through September. The tour features a handful of different bands joining Dirty Beaches on the bill so I get to have some fun and use a whole bunch of symbols. Hooray! Anyway, here are the dates:
