Heard that Broken Social Scene was going on tour. That ain’t that doomy. Heard that Belle & Sebastian was going on tour. That’s even less doomy. Heard that Deerhunter was going on tour. Guess that’s a bit doomy. Heard that Doomtree was going on tour. Now that, my friend, is doomy! And to ensure the maximum amount of doom, all seven members of the Minneapolis hip-hop collective are, for the first time ever, participating in what they’re dubbing the Wings + Teeth Tour. In case you forgot (or, well, never knew) who those seven members are, here’s a quick Doomtree roll call: P.O.S., Dessa, Sims, Cecil Otter, Mikey Micatlan, Lazerbeak, and Paper Tiger. While all those folks will crowd the stage during a full crew set, the tour will also feature solo sets from Doomtree’s members. Now if only DOOM would join this crew, thus reaching the logical conclusion.
