Man. Stupid internet! I thought the whole POINT of you was so that I wouldn’t have to stay on top of anything and could always just look stuff up later! But no. Now that everything is all instantaneous and world-wide and shit, it turns out that I’ve REALLY GOTTA PAY ATTENTION, or I miss tons of stuff! Like a few months ago, when Drake surpise-released an entire new album exclusively on iTunes entitled If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, I was at a funeral that day and didn’t check my internets until way later in the night, and I almost missed the whole thing! Thanks A LOT, Aunt Sally. :(
Well, better not try leaving your computer screen to go about your miserable day-to-day life again any time soon, readers, because that sort of shit just keeps happening. Drake just hopped on Twitter today to casually announce a string of tour dates that he’ll be embarking upon this spring and summer with his bud Future opening up several of the dates.
And not only that, but apparently he’s also going to be releasing a physical version of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late on April 21! That’s like, practically tomorrow! According to ye olde Billboard Magazine, it’s being called a “collector’s edition.” Which I guess probably means that there’s some swag involved? Or maybe it just means that it’s literally “collectible.” I don’t know, but I DO know that I’m terrified of leaving this spot in front of my computer any time soon in case something else Drake-related gets casually “dropped” while I’m casually dropping a shit or whatever, so… let’s see how long I can hold in all this coffee and giant bowl of Brussels sprouts.
