Eric Copeland announces new LP Logo My Ego, temporarily reassuring dance-noise fans that Brooklyn still exists

Oh man, you guys; college! Noise! Rave Parties! Black lights! Fucking Black Dice! Seriously, I kinda forgot about that band, didn’t you? No? Well, fuck. How much ecstasy did I do?

Regardless! Eric Copeland, the indomitable, illimitable main-man behind Black Dice’s weirdo neon mash of dance, noise, electronica, and pulsing carnival loops, apparently didn’t forget either. In fact, he just finished a new album’s worth of that kind of party-starting shit, entitled Logo My Ego. It’s slated for release on September 11 via the small Brooklyn-based electronic label L.I.E.S, and, according to someone-somewhere-writing-PR, sounds either like “a soundtrack for a caravan of dry-heaving mules trudging the desert for an oasis of DMT” or “eating ice cream off a city blacktop in August.” Mmm, mmm, mmm: mule-puke ice cream! Sounds like college all over again. I’m totally sold.

But just in case you’re not totally-sold, you can check out the track “Uncle Sam’s Blues” from the new album down below. After which you’ll either be “totally sold”… or puking-up mule-flavored dairy products all over the place. Either way seems like a pretty great way to shake up your now-stuffy and overly adult-oriented day, honestly.
