Explosions in the Sky head back to Europe for first tour since 2008 (and to pick up pizza from that great place in Naples)

Do you live in Europe? Are you tired of hearing about new tours coming through town that don’t include Explosions in the Sky (who are your favorite band)? Do you wish you could go back in time to 2008 when Explosions in the Sky actually toured Europe? Well, put away your time machine, Dr. Doom, because Explosions in the Sky are heading back to Europe!

The tour, scheduled to start and end in May, will be the first headline shows that the Exploding boys will have played in either the UK or Europe in the last two years and are the first shows that the dudes have played anywhere since their four-city 10th anniversary shows way back in the bygone era of 2009.

The shows are being planned in advance of Explosions in the Sky’s yet-to-be-titled follow-up to 2007’s All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone (TMT Review), which is scheduled for release in spring 2011 through long-time home Temporary Residence Ltd. As is always the case, more details on both the new record and more dates are forthcoming and will probably be written about by me.
