Exciting news from L.A.’s R&B/experimental dance scene orchestrator Kingdom: the producer is set to release his debut solo LP, Tears in the Club, on February 24 of next year. The Fade to Mind founder has also shared the first single from the album, “Nothing,” made with The Internet’s singer Syd (formerly Syd tha Kyd).

Besides Syd’s appearance, the album will feature collaborations with SZA (who helped with two tracks) and emerging artists Najee Daniels and Shacar. According to a press release, Tears in the Club is “simultaneously erotic, melancholy and resilient” and “Kingdom’s most complete vision of his club R&B microverse yet.”

Kingdom has been making jungle, grime, and R&B-influenced club music for more than 10 years now, initially under the auspices of UK label Night Slugs. His big breakthrough came in 2013, when he produced Kelela’s ridiculously fresh hit single “Bank Head.”
