Faun Fables narrowly escape gnome attack, announce spring tourdates despite exhaustion

Freaky folksters Faun Fables were pretty bummed when their trusty Mini-Winnie kicked the bucket at the beginning of their Light of a Vaster Dark tour. Want to know what I think actually happened? Gnomes. And elves. Hijacked the RV and drove it straight into a tree (let’s just be real, those fuckers couldn’t even see over the wheel).

Faun Fables took a quick hiatus after Light of a Vaster Dark (TMT Review) during which Dawn McCarthy sang on a forthcoming Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy release, but the band recently commandeered a school bus fitted with dragon wings and will be hitting the road for a spring tour as well as a yet-to-be-announced fall tour with Rasputina. And just so you know, McCarthy likes interviewing some of the characters who creep around Faun Fables shows (including a Norse/anthropology student, a Welsh nomad, and a guy who paints maimed cats). You could be next!
