Fruit Bats announce US tour, aren't as intimidating as you might think

Although they may sound like a scary bunch, Fruit Bats are actually more inclined to steal your pear or apple than they are to attach themselves to your neck and suck out your blood. Let’s Wrestle bring fightin’ words, songs, and tour to US

Let’s Wrestle is a rambunctious bunch of lo-fi rockin’ Brits who have oft been compared to (and reportedly made fans out of) Art Brut. After earning a solid following in the UK with 2009’s In the Court of the Wrestling Let’s (to be released in America on March 23 via Merge), they’ve decided to cross the ocean to stake their claim to an American audience. Their tour kicks off March 15, just a few days before their numerous SXSW appearances.

Let’s Wrestle will be joined on dates by Portland’s longtime indie-pop pals Quasi and Titus Andronicus. Head over to the Chocolate Grinder to hear a track from the album. Maybe you’ll see what Art Brut and the rest have been so worked up about.

In the Court of the Wrestling Let’s tracklisting:

01. My Arms Don’t Bend that Way, Damn It!
02. I’m in Love With Destruction
03. Tanks
04. My Eyes Are Bleeding (Interlude)

We Are Wolves are probably already sick of jokes about “Wolf Bands,” but will just have to put up with a few more if they want me to list their tourdates

We Are Wolves (not to be confused with Le Loup, who are only one wolf) have announced an upcoming North American tour in support of their new, triangle-free LP, Invisible Violence (TMT Review). The album was digitally released February 2 via Dare to Care and didn’t see a physical release until February 23, which gave everyone a glorious window of time in which you could’ve illegally downloaded it and still convinced yourself that you’d pay for the vinyl. And speaking of digital/physical releases, maybe you should get off the internet. Go to a concert. Meet some people. You know?

What’s that? A concert sounds like a good place to rub up against (if not even speak to and mate with) people? Then you’re in luck! Joined on a few dates by Parlovr, Lesbians on Ecstacy, and Wolf Parade (who have to be, like, six thousand wolves), We Are Wolves are coming to a town (relatively) near you! Catch them before they fly out to Lyon (Lyon… lions… wolves… you get the idea).

We Are Wolves tourdates:

03.05.10 - Montréal, QC - Contemporary Art Museum of Montréal
03.06.10 - Shawinigan, QC - Trou Du Diable
03.18.10 - Austin, TX - Paradise Cafe

04.08.10 - Los Angeles, CA - Echo
04.09.10 - Visalia, CA - The Cellar Door
04.10.10 - San Francisco, CA - Bottom of the Hill
