Can you say HIGH INTENSITY? After first leaping onto the neon and blacklit electronic party scene in 2014 as a dude with a catchy name and predilection for remixes, New York-based Jai Wolf spent most of 2015 gigging around town (“town” = the world) on the festival-ready success of his WIDESCREEN-AF first single “Indian Summer.”.
But yo, instead of stopping right there (like I normally would have done, because I’m pretty lazy), Wolf has just announced that he’s signed to the Mom+Pop label for the impending release of his debut EP. His new six-track cacophony of stadium-sized electro-pop is called Kindred Spirits, and it’s due November 18 (with a vinyl release to follow in February 2017). Generous guy that he is, he also shared the EP’s latest single, a big ol’ melancholy farewell-to-summer jam called “Like It’s Over (feat. MNDR).”
But damn, (again!) instead of stopping to take a rest, there’s STILL MORE. Beginning in November, Jai will also be embarking on his “Kindred Spirits North American Tour,” which will see him headlining the likes of Terminal 5 in his hometown of NYC, among other venues in cities where the water flows good ol’ clockwise. Tickets are available now, and you can pre-order the EP right over here, as well as peep “Like Its Over” down below. You might wanna carb-up pretty good first, though.
