Look, “reader,” (if that even is your real name), I don’t know how many different ways we’re going to have to say this: Jessy Lanza is going on tour. Should I speak up? JESSY LANZA IS GOING ON TOUR. This time it’s a North American headlining tour and it’s starting next week! And she’s going to spend a lot of time in Canada because she’s an independent woman. Also she is from Canada. That’s where she lives. It is her home. She’s going to be joined by Ricky Eat Acid, Saint Pepsi, and XXYYXX on a few of the dates, so make use of the symbolical construct I’ve created below and figure out for yourself which dates in particular I’m talking about.
I’ll bet you know all about her certified-great LP from last year on Hyperdub called Pull My Hair Back, don’t you? It was great, and it was great in a way that was easily certified, as indicated by my previous sentence. “Uh, it sounds like you’re talking in circles to fill space, Taylor.” Hows about you shut up, “reader!” And maybe while you’re working on permanently sealing that trap-hole of yours up with some glue or something, you could watch Lanza do some NPR-type-stuff below. I guess I’ll never know your real name though, will I? What with that whole permanent-shutting-up thing I told you to do two sentences ago? Maybe next time I’ll plan my jokes out a little more thoroughly. Lesson learned.
