UPDATE (2/24): Jim O’Rourke has just released another recording called “It’s the Story All Night” as Steamroom 25. Gettin’ steamy in here!
In addition to his traditional kickass releases, which continue to flow forth like the best kind of leaky tap we could ever imagine, Jim O’Rourke has a nice little Bandcamp page called Steamroom. Most of the releases on Steamroom have been freshly dug up or repackaged rarities from the deep O’Rourke archives, like last month’s Happy Days.
Happy days indeed are now upon us though, as O’Rourke has just dropped a fresh chunk of meditative drone called Estimate for the Damages, so fresh he recorded it in February 2016, which anyone vaguely familiar with a calendar and oriented to time and place will know is this month.
In the past, O’Rourke has released Bandcamp titles in clusters… here’s hoping.
