A heady and triumphant couple-a weeks ago, the entire world huddled around their family PCs to view breaking news concerning the triumphant return of Joan of Arc after five years’ worth of interminable silence with their impending new album, He’s Got The Whole This Land Is Your Land In His Hands (which is still a-comin’ ‘round the mountain on January 20, 2017 via Joyful Noise).

Now, two weeks on, deep in the somber, doleful, gathering dark of mid-October, the world is a very different place. A scarier place. An anxious place, where nervous Joan of Arc fans wait and endlessly click “repeat” on the video for the album’s first single “This Must Be The Placenta,” hoping against hope for the announcement of some Joan of Arc 2017 tour dates to accompany this new record.

Yeah.. Well. Um. Here ya go, ya weirdos: a whole, legit US headlining tour starting on January 24 in Indianapolis, IN, with shows in New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Austin, and more! Tickets go on sale at 12 PM EST on Friday, October 21. And for you extra-loopy emo-fiending locals, the band is also doing a hometown show in Chicago (with freakin’ American Football and Low!) at The Vic Theatre on October 29.

Thanks for your time. Now, don’t worry, here’s that video again:
