The Welsh wonder known as Joanna Gruesome are taking their noise-pop show on the road, from Cardiff all the way to the USA. They’ll be repping their recently-released album Peanut Butter — which Slumberland put out this spring — traveling across North America, with a few dips into Canada and an appearance at Austin’s ever-expanding Fun Fun Fun Fest, where they’ll presumably all share snowcones and smiles with the likes of D’Angelo, Grimes, Future Islands, and more.
They’ve also got somewhat of a surprise for y’all: a lineup change surprise! Erstwhile vocalist Alanna Mcardle has left to focus less on rockin’ yer face, and more on rockin’ a mental health recovery. The band’s new lineup will feature Kate of feminist/queer punk group Pennycress on vox, and Roxy of Two White Cranes/Grubs/TOWEL on more vox/keyboards. Get yourself well, Alanna!
