John Wiese has a new album on PAN called Seven of Wands; this calls for celebratory drinks

John Wiese (he of the 100 7-inches) has a new CD due out on PAN and it’s totally eBay hot juice maximum. Seven of Wands was recorded throughout 2004-2010 and is said by a certain critic — perhaps myself — that it may be one of his best works to date and a contender for record of the year, albeit I’m completely drunk right now. Full of exciting textures and a surprising (dare I say it) musicality, Wands is currently available from Boomkat’s web store and is so fucking good I just want to bury my face in Oprah Winfrey’s breasts and huff her stink.

According to the press release, “two of the albums central pieces were developed while touring the US, UK, and Europe with Liars, No Age, and Matmos, and feature source material contributed by Angus Andrew (voice, field recording) and Julian Gross (percussion) of Liars.” I can’t stop doing high kicks. I’m that thrilled.
