Keru Not Ever premieres new album Tereza, out this month on Infinite Machine

I’m writing this while it’s snowing, my roommate huddled over our fireplace trying to get the sparks to catch. It feels beautiful. I have this new record from Montreal’s Keru Not Ever playing over a Beats Pill that I purchased somewhat ironically from Goodwill for $7. But it works, and it’s convenient, so shout-out to Dr. Dre?

In any case, it’s cold out, so I put on my brown wool coat. I go for a walk with my headphones. I sink deeper into the haunting sounds of Tereza as I brush silver frost from my hair. Harsh ambience, at times violent, at times beautiful and calming, kind of like a blizzard. I’m lost in the piercing synths of “19 Stab Wounds” as I look up at the sky.

I walk back into my house, the fire is raging. It feels like home.

Check out the premiere of Keru Not Ever’s beautiful debut album Tereza below. It’s out January 20 on Infinite Machine.
