Signal boost: Philadelphia slayers/rippers Mannequin Pussy are on the verge of releasing their new, excellent album Romantic, with a thorough tour of America coinciding. Aside from being occasionally inspirational tweeters, MP is one of the best live bands currently working. Seeing them is like having your entire nervous system killed, melted, re-congealed, re-affirmed, and then brought back to life. Honestly, though, go to the tour (which you will have many opportunities to do starting October 21).
