By his powers combined, Canada-based experimental electronic artist Mark Templeton has reached the conclusion of his Heart trilogy of albums. Following up 2011’s Scotch Heart and 2013’s Jealous Heart, Templeton has announced the series’ third (duh) installment, Gentle Heart.
Throughout its 11 tracks, Gentle Heart often feels as if its trying to communicate with you. Loops float in and out, almost stumbling over themselves. It’s as if they’re drifting by from an alternate dimension, trying to communicate via an old wristwatch how to solve a gravitational equation that will save mankind…No, wait, that’s the plot to Interstellar.
Sorry, let’s try again: loops float in and out, leaving mysterious trails behind them that seem inexplicable, but are actually clues from your dad who is stuck in a wormhole behind a shelf in your childhood room. Wait, what? Dammit, that’s still Interstellar!

You’ll just have to listen and and solve the mystery ofGentle Heart for yourself when the album is released on June 20 via GRAPHICAL RECORDINGS.
