M.E.S.H. scores new Metahaven film Information Skies

M.E.S.H. — a.k.a. James Whipple a.k.a. one of our favorite producers here at TMT — has been tasked with creating the score for a new online film from the Dutch (though adamantly boundless, according to co-founder Daniel van der Velden) artistic outfit Metahaven, called Information Skies. The film is watchable in full right here, and even though its contents are beautifully abstract, it’s also decidedly concerned with a world where virtual reality is ubiquitous. No spoilers here, but M.E.S.H.’s score is certainly a fitting accompaniment to notions of fully conscious dreamscapes. It was partially borne out of “remaining signals and spaces” from Piteous Gate.

Check out our review of his 2016 EP Damaged Merc here. The track below is real and unrelated to the film.
