Most people I’ve known in my life named Mike have walked that thin red line of raging dick to Ultron dick. For example, I knew a guy named Mike who always rubbed his butt on everything I owned. And, then there’s Mike’s Carwash, which hangs Elmos and Big Birds from nooses to remind children of their own mortality. But let’s be everyone’s favorite rapper from Cypress Hill and be real for a minute: there are some* good Mikes out there.
Mike Krol is one such good Mike, and he’s hilariously dressed up like a cop on the cover of his new album, Turkey, to be released August 28 on Merge Records. This nice Mike, a graphic designer turned full-time melody maker, is going on a Ball & Chain tour, so you can hear his shining voice in a live setting.
