Molly Burch preps debut album Please Be Mine on Captured Tracks

Los Angeles + Austin = An album steeped in Hollywood drama and classic American songwriting

Molly Burch is probably pretty good at math and figuring out her primary and secondary colors on a color wheel, but the main reason why you’re reading this is because she’s about to release her debut album on Captured Tracks.

As that nice little Kindergarten test above suggests, Burch grew up in Los Angeles before relocating to Austin to write her debut album. It’s called Please Be Mine, will be released February 17, and is a modern reverberation of the Patsy Cline classicism and Hollywood show tunes. Kind of like retro, but also not — just good music.
