MV & EE announce, like, a new album on Woodsist or whatever; totally share some new video or some junk!

Groovy news, man, groovy news: Vermont-based psych/noise/good-vibes duo Matt “MV” Valentine and Erika “EE” Elder are back from whatever outer space teddy-bear picnic they’ve been hangin’ out at since 2013 with a new MV & EE album for the Woodsist label.

Yessir. It’s called Root/Void, and it’s a-comin’ out October 7 on LP and digitally. But don’t worry, you can pre-order the dang thing now, as well as froth yourself into a gooey, drippy, country-fied tizzy with this bucolic new video for album track “Feel Alright.” And lest their cosmic-cred be in any doubt, the clip was directed by renown space-traveler Naomi Yang (Damon & Naomi).

Oh, speaking of cred, Lee Ranaldo totally wrote the press release for the album, too. Ya. No big deal:

MV & EE take their homespun hypnotics and cosmic country sounds to new levels on Root/Void. I love this album - it trips hard and hauntingly - a gift for languid golden afternoons or late night moonlight powwows. Anthem-worthy tape edits on some cuts crack open surreal and cinematic vistas. While joined by fellow travelers here and there, this LP remains in essence a fecund duet from two entwined souls, updating and re-defining their unique pool of sound. Intrepid audio bathers: get thee immersed!

And no one knows about “late night, moonlit powwows” like Lee Ranaldo, right? I mean, that guy definitely isn’t in bed by 8:30 every night. No sirree.
