MV & EE chart tour of the East Coast's most evocatively named towns, rep two new live discs

The ridiculously prolific MV & EE are hitting the road this spring/early summer, circling their collective gypsy caravan for a short tour almost exclusively through towns that sound like they could’ve been stops for a failing Depression-era circus. Which is to say, magic! These towns are magic. (Presumably. Presumably they’re not just playing in a series of off-the-highway strip malls. I mean, come on, it’s MV & EE.)

The Rust Belt Commie Babies tour, as they’re calling it, kicks off in Louisville, making stops in Brooklyn and other pastoral-seeming towns across the East Coast, before wrapping up in Turner’s Falls, MA for the Northern Routes New Music Festival. (Fun Fact: Turner’s Falls, est. 1867, was named after the Tom Hanks character in the late-1980s buddy cop/dog movie Turner and Hooch. The duo (MV & EE, not Turner and Hooch) will be repping their latest self-released live documents, Commie General in Big Sur and Chase Daily Wah Wah, both available for purchase over here.
