I know last year was, like, such a long time ago, but: remember in the fall when rapper/writer/activist/performance artist Mykki Blanco finally released a debut full-length, Mykki, on !K7? Wait, what? You don’t remember? I’m sure we totally talked about it!
Yeah, okay, see? Good; now it’s all coming back to you. Which is convenient, cuz you’ll need to have some decent background knowledge of this shit going in order to truly appreciate that, starting February 10, Blanco will be doing the unprecedented and… boom: tour North America for two months on the back of that record! Crazy, right? These artist-types, I tell ya. Loony.
The tour, which has been dubbed “The Stunt Queen Tour,” will include support from longtime friend Cakes Da Killa and will feature stop-offs in Texas during SXSW, as well as dates in most of your other “typical” “urban” “cities” (e.g., New York City, Los Angeles City, Canada City, Midwest City, and several others). Tickets for all of these totally-extreme experiments in album-promotion are on sale now. Seriously. It’s all real. Don’t believe me? Peep the date-age below. You can’t argue with lists of numbers.
