Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti has announced a major US tour. If you caught the wave off any one of the viral hits — hits like “Broke Boi,” “Woke Up Like This” with Lil Uzi Vert, or “Magnolia” (embedded below) — off his recent self-titled mixtape (which was one of our favorite mixtapes of April btw), well…then you might be interested?

I don’t want to presume or anything, though. I mean, maybe you did hear those singles — or even the entire mixtape — and you were quite enthused, but you just don’t feel drawn to the idea of a Playboi Carti concert. Or maybe you just don’t like to go out that much, and that’s fine! Or…maybe you DO like the sound of of that, but you’re not interested in reading this particular news piece about it. I guess I just want to leave things open for you, because I feel like way too often music news outlets don’t really care about their readers. Do you know what I mean? Like, maybe you’re not interested in the news I’m writing about and you just want to stop reading right now. That’s totally fine with me, pal! <3 Most writers don’t consider that possibility, and I just want to be considerate. I want to be “careful.” I mean, like care-full; full of care. But…then again, oughtn’t I care about those readers of mine who are interested in Carti’s tour, too? Well, the next paragraph’s for YOU, all you sweethearts into Playboi Carti!

Jordan Terrell Carter released his first mixtape Young Misfit as $ir Cartier in 2012. He linked up with Atlanta’s Awful Records shortly after and began racking-up features and collabs with the likes of Father, Gucci Mane, Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, and A$AP Rocky. In 2016 he linked-up with A$AP Mob on their debut mixtape Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends, featuring on the tracks “London Town” and “Telephone Calls.” The Playboi Carti mixtape dropped the following year…uh, which is this year (wow, 2017, here we are), receiving many-a-positive review from all your favorite (or least favorite! Still trying to accommodate here!) music review outlets.

And now…comes THE TOUR! Carti kicks things off June 22 at the BET Experience festival in LA and wraps it up September 2 at Columbus, OH’s Breakway Festival, with all the dates in-between listed below (chronologically, for the Carti-lovers’ convenience). Fellow ATL artist Young Nudy and Pierre Bourne, who produced a number of tracks on Playboi Carti, will accompany him on most dates. Get your tickets now. (Or later. Or don’t…Or ask someone to get them for you…Or honestly, I’d be happy to get them for you; just Venmo me! Again: I’m here for you, pal. Get a good meal and some rest tonight, and let me know if you need a wake-up call in the morning.)
